Guess what? I got a great low calorie chili recipe for you!
“What does that mean, Kurt?”
Well, my fine-feathered little fledgling…
That means I’m comin’ in HOT with another delicious recipe you can whip up quick and potentially even write home about!
And, as you may have noticed…
Today we’re keeping up with our “liquid magic” trend and stirring up a nice warm pot of the one… the only… savory Beef Chili.
Let’s get crackin’, shall we?
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 200 grams lean ground beef
- 2 cups chopped tomatoes
- 1 cup of water
- 4 tbsp minced dried onion
- 4 cloves garlic, crushed and minced
- Pinch of garlic powder
- Pinch of onion powder
- ½ tsp chili powder
- Pinch of oregano
- Cayenne pepper to taste (optional)
- Salt & pepper to taste
Here are the instructions:
- Brown beef in a small frying pan over medium high heat.
- Add onions and garlic to pan, turn heat down to medium.
- Stir in tomatoes and water.
- Add spices and simmer slowly until liquid is reduced (the longer it cooks, the more tender and flavorful).
- Add a little water as needed to prevent burning.
- Add salt and pepper to taste
And then serve up that delicious bowl of goodness with chopped green onion or tomato as a garnish.
Easy peasy lemon squeezy, right?
A hearty, savory, perhaps even a little bit spicy bowl of delicious chili to warm you up during these colder months.
