There are so many different HCG Weight Loss plans and protocols online today that people get confused about what they should be eating during the main phase. One protein option people are most confused about are eggs.
People think it’s okay to eat eggs during the HCG Diet whenever they choose. But others tell you to steer clear of eggs.
This begs the question…
Can I eat eggs while on the HCG Diet?
Firstly the short answer – Yes, it is perfectly ok to eat eggs while doing the HCG Diet.
However, eating eggs on the HCG Diet is not really something you should do every day. When you do choose to for with eggs then you should be mainly eating the egg whites. This is because egg yolks contain all the fat in an egg. This stirs up the next question…
How Many Eggs Can I Have?
The brains behind the diet, Dr. Simeons, says that you can have 4 eggs per meal. However, you shouldn’t eat 4 whole eggs. Just have the whites of 3 eggs and 1 whole egg. But, you should only eat the 4 eggs to replace the protein from lunch or dinner. Because two large eggs including yolk, are equivalent to 100g of meat. So the 3 egg whites and 1 whole egg should be about the same.
How Often Can I Eat Eggs On The HCG Protocol?
If you eat a hard-boiled egg for breakfast (after 11), you should really only do this 1 or 2 times a week max – Also, I wouldn’t do this on the same day that you have eggs with your main meals, lunch, and dinner.
Only eat the 4 eggs (3 whites, 1 full) with one of your meals. You can do this once or twice a week just to keep things mixed up and your body still guessing – But I wouldn’t do it more than that.
Remember that if your weight loss slows down or you plateau completely after you start eating eggs then you should stop. Everyone’s body is different, which means that some things will work perfectly for some and not at all for others.
